Parents are welcome to support all runners! Please check in at the front office. A valid photo ID is required.

How do I register my runner for the Jog-a-Thon?
Registration is FREE!
New Runners:
1. Go to https://pledgestar.com/carrillo/
2. Click "Not registered for this event?"
3. Create an account and enter your runner's information.
4. Enter email information for family and friends to automatically
send fundraiser information.
5. Share your fundraising link on social media.
6. Track your donations in Pledgestar.com.
Returning Runners:
1. Go to https://pledgestar.com/carrillo/
2. Click "Not registered for this event?"
3. Create an account and enter your runner's information.
4. As a returning user, you can use your contact list from last year's event to automatically send fundraiser information.
5. Share your fundraising link on social media.
6. Track your donations in Pledgestar.com.
I have multiple children attending Carrillo Elementary, do they all get credit for the same donations?
No. Pledgestar will automatically split donations evenly among all students entered into your account. If you want donations to go to a specific student you can:
1. Create an individual account for each child with a unique email login.
2. Request donations for a specific child be provided as cash or check and identify the student’s name and class.
3. Only add one student to your account as a “runner”; they will receive all donations and prizes.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Carrillo PTO, Inc. is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our EIN is 47-4542227.
Will I receive a receipt?
All donors making an electronic donation will receive a receipt sent to their email at the time of their donation. Donations made with cash or check will not receive a receipt unless requested.
Will my employer match be included towards my student’s donations for prizes?
Maybe. The employer match process can vary in how long it takes for funds to be received and will not be received during the Jog-a-Thon. However, donors can submit a copy of their employer’s confirmation that the donation will be matched. Documentation that a donor submitted a request to their employer will not be included until the employer approves the matching donation.
How do I know if my employer will match my donation?
Charity Navigator allows you to search if your employer has a matching donation program and provides details how to submit a request to your employer. See: https://www.charitynavigator.org/donor-basics/giving-101/employee-match-programs/. Other non-profit resources provide similar search functions. Online searches are non-exhaustive; if your employer does not appear in a search, it does not mean they do not have a donation matching program. Ask your human resources or other office if your employer has a matching program.
