
Disclosure to members, donors, and sponsors:
Complaints against Carrillo PTO, Inc. have been filed with the California Attorney General and U.S. Internal Revenue Service pertaining to it's financial controls, compliance with tax-exempt requirements, and poor governance. To include, but not limited to:

Engaging in business transactions with Palomar Signs while its owner was a member of its Executive Board or otherwise considered as an interested party by the IRS.

Failing to report thousands of dollars of funds raised by sub-committees in its annual filings with the IRS.

Providing false statements pertaining to governance policies when filing Form 990 with the IRS.

Our Mission
The mission of the Parent Teacher Organization is to enrich the educational experience of all Carrillo Elementary students and to enhance the community of students, families and staff.
The Carrillo PTO is a registered non-profit organization. All proceeds stay within Carrillo Elementary and the San Marcos Unified School District.
